Four decades in this business have taught me that successful wealth management isn't just about numbers and portfolios — it's about truly understanding what keeps clients awake at night. Listening and understanding my client's deeper concerns has earned me success in developing solutions that address not just their financial goals, but their peace of mind.
My interest in investing began during my undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I worked part-time in a bank's trust department. With my desk positioned right in front of the trust investment managers, I spent countless hours learning about their work. The conversations were so compelling that I took an additional semester to earn a finance degree in addition to an accounting degree. What hooked me was the daily evolution of markets — new information to digest, multiple valid approaches, and the fascinating interplay of geopolitics, economics, and culture. This led me to a fruitful career evolution, as well as obtaining an MBA from Santa Clara University. This journey has provided me with the foundation to focus on investment product selection, portfolio construction, client service, and executive management of our firm that contributes to our clients’ financial stability & growth.
My wife, Anita, and I have been married for over two decades and live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Meanwhile, our daughter, Alex, lives and works in New York City. Anita and I enjoy experiencing different cuisines, the arts, and traveling, especially overseas. I swim several days a week and play golf regularly, though my handicap can use some help.
These experiences formulated my lifestyle and remind me that wealth is ultimately about having the freedom to pursue what brings meaning and joy to your life — whether that's supporting your children's dreams, exploring the world, or simply having the security to sleep well at night. And that stems from a sound investment strategy.
